What is the tutorail for?
Using this page Group Leaders (Teachers/Tutors) can communicate with students who are in their group to give them 1 to 1 help with the course content e.g. feedback on a test or to a task submitted.
There are, for example, 5 steps within each unit where the student can email their answers directly to their teacher. These tutition sessions are ideal for following up on those mini tests, tasks, discussions, quizzes and full test submissions.
A teacher might also choose to use this tutorial session to direct a student to a particular unit or task or to reference other learning materials such as a text book.
Students will be able to reply to guidance, ask and answer questions and receive then follow feedback from their teacher, but only once the teacher has opened the tutorial session.
How does it work?
Students cannot open a session themselves or communicate with other group members.
When a tutorial is started the student will get an email with a link taking them to this page. If they are already using the library they will see a pop up message directing them to the new tutorial.
Group Leaders (teachers) will have a popup box at the bottom of the screen linking them to their tutorials, they can have multiple tutorials running at the same time.
To check if a reply has been recieved you may need to refresh your page.
What are the restrictions?
Only Group Leaders (Teachers/Tutors) can start a tutorial session.
Only students within a Group Leader’s group can receive tuition messages from the Group Leader.
No other group members will see the communication between the chosen student and the Group Leader (Teacher/Tutor).
We are currently not allowing uploads of files but this is under review.
